We are pleased that our clients, Anna and Henry, have been awarded a RIBA East Award 2026 for Bodney Beach House, North Norfolk.

When they first approached us in December 2022, they had already spent two years working with other architects without achieving planning consent. Rather than starting again from scratch, we proposed a different approach: retaining the former railway man’s cottage and designing the new elements as single-storey additions that sat more sensitively within the landscape.

Anna and Henry’s brief was simple, to create a sanctuary, a place to rest, recharge and recuperate.

It has been a wonderful project to be involved in, made more enjoyable by working alongside the excellent team @ Webb yates and @ Grocott & Murfitt, amongst many others.

It is also one of the fastest-moving projects we have delivered, planning approval was secured within five months of our appointment, and the project was completed within two years.
