Lock Road

The existing Avant Garde house replica was small and poor in quality and so the site offered lots of opportunity for redevelopment.

The brief was to double the size of the existing creating a new 550m2 house. The substantial six-bedroom house is located on a corner plot and is broken down into a series of forms to minimize the scale of the building. The design sought reference from the historic fabric of the Marlow conservation area, red brick and stone, whilst creating a contemporary design.
